Behind every Australian stepping onto the mats in Las Vegas is a commitment that started long before the flight departed: years of training, early mornings, injuries, missed weekends and the decision to keep showing up.

The sacrifice behind the moment

Competing internationally asks a great deal from an athlete. There are flights, accommodation and entry fees to cover, time away from work and family, and countless hours spent preparing for a few decisive minutes on the mat.

Those sacrifices rarely belong to the athlete alone. Coaches, teammates, partners, families and local communities all help make the journey possible. When an Australian competitor walks into the Las Vegas Convention Center, an entire club walks in with them.

They are representing the people who helped build them, showing the world what Australian Jiu-Jitsu looks like.

Carrying club and country

The team name on the bracket matters. It represents the academy where rounds were fought, lessons were learned and standards were set. But on the international stage, these athletes are also part of something larger: a growing Australian Jiu-Jitsu community with its own identity, talent and ambition.

PORRADA will be there to photograph that story properly: the concentration before a match, the work inside it and the emotion that follows. Not only the podiums, but the moments that show what it took to arrive.

We have brought together 138 Australian athlete entries across all six championships of Jiu-Jitsu CON 2026 — World Master, CON International, Novice, No-Gi and both Kids events — so supporters at home can find their athletes, convert fight times to AEST, check which mat and fighting zone they are on and follow the official brackets.
